How to Submit a Planning Objection to West Berkshire District Council
To register an objection to a planning application in West Berkshire, you will need to know the following pieces of information:
You can submit an objection by any of the following three methods:
Note that in addition, you can continue to email objections to the council after the 'date for comments' has expired, all the way up to the determination (decision) date.
You can view all of the development plans and supporting documents, as well as any reports and objections raised within the online planning portal,
- Application reference number - available on the orange printed notices that have been put up near the proposed development, or printed on the letter that may have been sent to you as a nearby resident, or from WBDC's online planning portal on which you can search for a property address (publicaccess.westberks.gov.uk/online-applications/search.do?action=simple&searchType=Application).
- The closing date for comment submissions - again normally available on the printed notices, letters or online planning portal.
You can submit an objection by any of the following three methods:
- Online, within the planning portal - you will need to register on the site first.
- Email - email to the Planning Service ([email protected]), or
- In Writing, addressed to the Head of Planning and Countryside, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD
